COOPERATIVE MONTH 2023

The year 2023 Cooperative Month's theme is "Cooperatives: Pioneering the Path to Recovery Amidst Modern Challenges of Climate and Food Security." DCo MPC always supports and participates in this once-a-year event. The festivities will kick off with a vibrant parade, showcasing local cooperatives as participants don themed costumes and carry banners, The program will feature opening remarks from community leaders, guest speakers addressing the vital role of cooperatives in tackling climate change and food security and success stories from local organizations. A lively dance contest will invite cooperative members to showcase their talents, with prizes for the best performances, while a fun "budol fight" will encourage participants to share traditional dishes, highlighting local food producers and sustainable practices. Workshops on sustainable farming and food preservation will engage attendees in hands-on activities and booths will allow local cooperatives to showcase their products and services. Community discussions will facilitate dialogue on the importance of cooperatives in addressing modern challenges and gather ideas for future initiatives.
